Ice hockey and curling
Ice hockey and curling don't seem to be quite the same as other Winter Olympic sports. The goal of most ice/snow sports are to do one thing and do it better than others. Just like encountering a bear in the wild, as long as you out run the others, you are the winner in life.
Not so with ice hockey and curling. First, ice hockey is like moving the battlefield to the ice. Both sides are holding spears, attacking and defending as well. They try to excel in strength and speed to beat each other. And what about curling? Don't look at the gentleness of the two sides, they don't contact each other, but all the do is that rack their brains to hurt the other, like shooting each other with arrows in the dark. If you want to win, you have to hurt others and benefit yourself. If I will survive, then you won’t.
