A woman in California is being evicted and she needs homes asap for her cats!!! I don’t know this lady personally but one of our members does and has asked for all of us to pass this information along in hopes that someone could possibly help:

I received the following SOS from a friend -- regarding cats in CA who need adoptive/foster homes ASAP.  Please help if you can, and help spead the word.  Thank you!!!

The following is my friend's message:

Julie has been caring for 10 cats now for several years. Although that sounds like a lot of cats, she has taken very good care of them (she was licensed to have all cats and received yearly, unannounced inspections, which she always passed). Unfortunately, the apartment that Julie was renting has been foreclosed (the landlord still collected payments from her even though he wasn’t making payments himself!), and she will have to find a new place to live. Julie is having a very difficult time finding a place that she can afford (she is disabled and on a very fixed income), and she will need to get rid of six of her cats (she will be keeping the remaining four cats who have more serious disabilities). As you can imagine, she is heartbroken to have to do this but she doesn’t have any other options. She has called around to all shelters within a 100-mile radius. Except for one shelter that is willing to take only one of her cats, all of the other shelters are full. Please pass this information on to anyone you know who might be willing to adopt a cat (or cats). Although Julie lives in Central California, it might be possible to transport these cats to other areas of the country through our Catster Railroad. The cats needing to be re-homed are the following:

1)  Chief Joseph is a gentle, playful 12-year-old Siamese boy. Look at those gorgeous eyes! http://www.catster.com/cats/1195137.

2)  Fuzz is a handsome 16-year-old boy with a lovely tuxedo pattern. http://www.catster.com/cats/1195112.

3)  Autumn is a 10-year-old Abyssinian mix with green eyes. Autumn suffered previous abuse but has come a long way since Julie rescued her. Autumn has hypocalcaemia and receives sub-q fluids every other day but is otherwise doing very well. http://www.catster.com/cats/1195121.

4)  Marilia is a shy 9-year-old girl who was also rescued from an abusive home and has thrived while in Julie’s care. http://www.catster.com/cats/1195116.

5)  Graciela is a gentle 11-year-old girl with a beautiful black and white coloring. http://www.catster.com/cats/1195139.
