I turn on the computer this morning, it did not start as usual, it says

is missing or corrupted

YOU CAN ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THIS FILE BY STARTING WINDOWS SETUP USING THE ORIGINAL SETUP CD-ROM, SELECT 'R' AT THE FIRST SCREEN TO START REPAIR.

Does anyone know that to what degree the damage is? I did not back-up my recent work.
