I own officejet 5510 for about one and half years and suddenly I have a problem with it. Whatever I fax/copy/scan a document, officejet start to work on the job, LCD screen shows the message" faxing the page 1" or " copying the 1 of 1" or "scanning”, but
(1) For faxing, the original fax document was not moved to feed by auto paper feeder
(2) For copying, copy paper from paper tray is moved into officejet but stop moving in the middle and stuck here
3) For scanning, there no normal working sound if officejet work fine as scanner (if you use officejet 5510 as a scanner, you know what I mean), just silence,
It results in faxing/copying/scanning is never finished.
But I can print/fax document through officejet 5510 and it does a fine job. I cannot use HP director to scan a document.
Anyone have a clue what cause the problem and how to fix it? My wild guess is some small parts is broken and need to be repaired; it is a mechanical thing, am I right?
