mot/verizon pushed android upgrade from 2.2 to gingerbread lately. it hit my droid2 again and again and finally I accepted it. once upgraded, i knew i was wrong - it ran much slower due to bigger memory occupancy; destroyed rooting; froze on some applications for a nicer looking and better battery management (lasting longer)... checked on web and found out many people complained the same. many people expressed regret but couldn't reverse with "factory reset"...

so if you have rooted your phone, reject reject reject....

gingerbread目前还没发现漏洞,所以要root必须刷修改过的ROM

when i said patch, meant it fixed what's in 2.2

On Samsung Galaxy tab, there is rooted gingerbread ROM

The situation is machine dependent
