Help. Install WinXP-SP2. F5952004-09-15 19:11:49

I have tried many times to installed winxp sp2, but all failed. Every time has the same problem. When I installed it, the installation is stopped completely after 10 or 20 minutes (no progress even after overnight) and No any suggestion from the computer.

I used windows update on line or installed it from CD (download it from another PC and write a CD). The same problem happened. before I installed sp2, I scaned the spyware by spybot and closed Norton antivirus.

My computer is inter-4, 40 G, 526 M memory, WinXP home edition. The computer crashed recently, and I used recovery console CD and reinstalled the system.

Could somebody know the reason or how can I install sp2 successfully?
