I want to connect my desktop computer and laptop computer together, so the both computers can get internet.

I am using Ethernet Lan (high speed cable). My desktop has “Windows 2000” installed and laptop uses Windows XP (home edition).

Can someone tell me how to set up this home network? And what stuff I need to buy it, such like router, cable…
