Hi everyone, I have a P3 machine installed with W2K. Because I messed up the registration file, I reinstalled W2K from scratch. Everything is good except no sound. I realized I need to update sound card driver (the sound card is integrated in the MB - before I reformatd C-drive, sound card was working).

I opened up Device Manger, I saw the listing in "Sound, Video and Game Controller" folder:

Audio Codecs
Legacy Audio Drivers
Legacy Video Capture Devices
Media Control Devices
MPU-401 Compatible MIDI Device
Standard Game Port
Video Codecs

First I did not know which one to update. So I went to Control panel, clicked Add/Remove Hardware, in the wizard, system didn't find a sound card so I clicked "Add a new device". I clicked "Have disk" button. I found the path to my CD, in next step, when I clicked "OK" the "Models" box is empty- it did not bring up model list (when I open up the CMAUDIO.inf, it has all driver information though).

What is wrong? I downloaded the driver file from manufacturer web, it is the same. Can anyone help? Thank you
