I just bought a used 2.0G P4 CPU which has a paste on it. After installation, it sound louder than my old one. So, i want to look it at again. When I was trying to disassemble it, the CPU stick to the heatsink and come off with it. After I separate them and intall it again, the PC can not run with beeping, neither my old CPU. I just bough the thermal grease in ebay and hope it may help.
Any guru know what happened here. I mean if it is because CPU is hot, it should be able to run a little while at the beginning, right. Well, I will really appreciate your help. Thanks
