I am a ph.D. student right now. The project I am working on is sponsered by a small company. They don't want to pay me through school (univeristy will charge them extra money), so they ask me to work as an intern.
The problem is that I need two more years to finish my ph.d.. But only 8 months' CPT is left. Can I get a master degree first and use OPT for MS to work there and finish my ph.D.? Or can I use H1B next year but at the same time a ph.D. student?
