appointments(Canada)2005-09-23 20:39:42
Plan to go back home this winter. Have several questions about this visa application in Canada. Please help!

1. Some one said that one could only make an appointment for future 2 weeks, which means we couldn't make any November appointment. Is that correct?

2. Will consular close on Nov. 24-25, Thanksgiving?

3. My hu*****and and I both need H1B visa. So we have to make 2 appointments, instead of one, is that correct?

4. While making appointments, applicants will be charged of $100(processing fee) for each appointment, and it is non-refundable. In our case, it'll be $200 and we cannot get it back if we change our mind and don't go for the interview. Is that correct?

5. How do they charge this processing fee, through credit card? On this web site: http://www.usconsulatetoronto.ca/content/content.asp?section=visas&document=applying, it says "The fee must be paid at any branch of the Bank of Nova Scotia (ScotiaBank) located in the province of Ontario before coming to the Consulate". Does that mean we have to pay the processing fee to that bank in Ontario in advance? If so, how can we do it in the U.S.A.

Many thanks!
