FBI background check question

今天有人问下述问题：
Does any one have any comment on the following:
After submit fingerprint, it can take much longer for FBI to do a background back if the applicant has a really common name, such as Wei LI, or Wei ZHANG. Is this true?
Anybody have this kind of experience?

根据我的理解应该是，名字越普通，说明重名重姓的越多，FBI需要更多的时间来辨明到底哪一个是你，所以name check花费的时间就越长。因此，劝那些拥有一个非常普通的姓名的朋友，千万别着急，耐心等待。
