I am planning to travel to Puerto Rico during the Thanksgiving weekend (11/23-11/27). However, my currently H1-B will expire on 11/21/05, H1-B 7th-year extension petition is still pending (submitted on 9/27/05). Does anybody know how long it will take for my case to be approved? If it's still pending by then, will I have trouble getting back to the States, given my current H1-B will be expired by then but I should still be considered "in status" when my extention is pending?
I need to nail down a travel deal very quickly. PLEASE HELP!!!
