I held J1 several years ago and during my stay I extended my J1 stay a couple of times including extra 6 month extension due to the requirement of my project. But it was in the same program in same college. Then I went back my home country to stay 2 years. Will I be free of "2-year home country residency"? Does my previous J1 extension including extra 6 month one have any impact on the "2 year regulation"? If it is true only one "2-year home country stay" is required?
