2. Form I-140(USCIS website, download and fill out!)
3. ETA 750B(Labor Department website, download and fill out)
4. Petition letter (also called comprehensive letter, or cover letter. I will address on this some time not far from today. This letter needs to be 10 to 15 pages long. It reviews all your recommendation letters. Therefore, it is also called review letter. You need to hit the right spot when write this letter.)
5. Curriculum vitae of Mr./Ms.***
6. Copy of advanced diplomas (BS., MS, and Ph.D., if applicable. Need to be in English. If not, you can always have them notarized in front of a notary public. It is free in this country)
7. Support letters (recommendation letters, the most important part of your petition. You need to have at least 7 letters. In my case, I had 9 letters. I will particularly address this topic some time.)
8. Membership, awards and honored certificates, if any. Please keep in mind even if you ever gave a professional talk or received any even tiny awards or certificate, you just have to show them to the immigration officer. NEVER THINK THAT IT IS TOO LITTLE OR TOO SMALL TO MENTION IT! You don’t have to be shy or modest!!! However, DO NOT TRY TO LIE!!!! Always be honest! If you have it, add them as one piece of supporting evidences. If you don’t have them, it is okey. One thing is very important, you need to be at least be a membership of professional organization in this country. This is quite simple. Pay annual membership fee of $200~300 and you apply at your professional organization in your research/work field. As far as you have at least a BS degree, usually, you will not be denied.
9. Evidence of your research/design/work contribution (Selected research proposal, reports, US. Patent, or patent pending, and scientific articles of Mr./Ms.***. Search to see if any body ever cited your research papers. If so, how many times! Print them out and add as evidences of your contribution. Particularly, see if any newspapers, magazines, or journals ever talked about your research field in this country. If any officials, senators, congressman, governors… ever addressed such topics as your research field. Please keep in mind, that you need to prove that your research/work/design is extremely important to this country. You need to prove your contribution is critical and unique. Your contribution is bigger than anybody else. That is why you fit in NIW.)
10. Copy of notarized certificate of previous working experience if any.
11. Copy of I-94, visa status documents, and valid passport document (at least 6 months valid before expires.
