My wife from china came down here U.S. with H-4 visa yesterday. However, the immigration inspector stamped April 16 on her I-94, which apparently meant she can only legally stay at U.S. no later than the date stated above.
In this case, I am under impression that I might be very needed to fill out the H-4 extension for my wife as soon as possible. However, I do believe some of suggestions from you with respect to the questions below would be greatly helpful before I start to do anything.
1. How long does it normally take to apply for an H-4 extension?
2. Considering her I-94 will be expired on April 16, is she able to stay U.S. legally if her application is still being reviewed by the date above?
3. Do I need to find a lawyer to fill out this extension or we could easily do it ourselves?
4. Anything else do you think is should be considered specially?
I will thank you in advance for any response or suggestion regarding this issue.
