Here's my situation: my fiancee is on H-1B and her PERM is just approved. Now she's about to file I-140. I'm a PhD student on F-1 status. We're planning our wedding for Oct. Should we get married before she files her I-140 so I can get the derivitive benefit? Or does the marriage just need to happen before the filing of I-485? BTW, we're both from mainland China.

Please help!
