Tax about lawer fees for green card? katty2006-04-06 22:16:42

Hi guys, who know can we claim the deduction about lawer fees for green card in our Tax Return form?

In the 1040 form instruction,line 36, I read "Attorney fees and court costs for action settled or decideded after October 22, 2004, involving certain unlawful discrimiation claims, but only to the extent of gross income from such actions(see Pub. 525)"

But some guy told me we can not claim lawer fees for green card.
