Please help:
I got my GC interview yesterday( marriage based). At the end of the interview, the officer said:
"the interview is good but I can't give you the card yet because they took your fingerprints and your background check hasn't come back yet. I will put a note here to them today. After the background check comes back, I may need 1-2 weeks to prepare your card and send it out. So, if in 30 days, you still haven't received your card, please come back to check."
I read many postings here regarding background check. Kinda confuse, how the officer gave a 30 days timeframe since nobody can be sure when the background check result will come back. From other postings here, it may take months or years. Is it possible that the background check that the officer mentioned is different from the FBI name check? Is it really possible I might receive the card in 30 days?
I really appreciate any of your kind advices.
