Tax Identification Number and SSN Onlychild2006-04-24 18:13:20

When I had B1, I applied for a Tax Identification Number for tax purposes. Now I'm a permanent resident and need to apply for SSN. Question: Will the Tax ID be same as the SSN? Thank you!
