young kid? my daughter cannot get SSN without EAD. but I am not sure whether it is reasonable to apply EAD for a kid like 7 years old.

Some have idea?

what's the reason he/her need SSN

for tax purpose

Then apply ITIN, No EAD needed

we want to apply EIC, kid must have SSN

Kids can apply for EAD and get SSN using EAD
