I am applying green card for my parents based on my citizenship. I have a few questions would need your help:
Basically we are debating whether to file the application through Status adjustment in U.S( 485) or counslor processing?
My parents are in the U.S. now on a visiting visa. So they can submit 130 and 485 at the same time while in U.S.
The other choice for them is to go through counselor proceesing back in shanghai.
Would like to know:
(1) how long it would take if we submit 130 and 485 in the U.S.? ( we currently reside in seattle)
(2) How long the counselor processing will take ( U.S. embassy in shanghai)
(3) If my parents choose counselor processing, during the waiting period, can they still come to visit me in U.S? I heard they won't get the visa once they send in the green card application?
(4) If they submit the application in u.s. , i will apply advance parole for them so that they can go back to china before the final result. How long will advance parole take in seattle area.
