My I-485 stuck in NC from 1/22/2005 ( EB2, RIR, TSC, PD Aug-2001, RD: 1/18/2005, FP: 7/1/2005).
I did what I can do ( file FOIPA, schedule infoPass, send e-mail to senator, send email to Director of FBI, name check division), still pending. So I just talked to 2 famous immigration attorney ( not the company lawyer who handle my case), get quite different answers.
One lawyer told me basically there are two ways to push. first If your company lawyer is member of the association of immigration attorney, he can contact the liaison officer of FBI to check the status, second file MOM law suit against FBI/CIS. ( She told me by far this is the best way to push. almost 100% clean the case in one month after FBI receive the court notice and dismiss the case before scheduled hearing date.)
Another lawyer told me there is nothing you can do except waiting, and FBI get huge pressure of this NC ( actually they are doing new cases quite fast, just no time/resource to clear backlog), and by early next year, there will be some new procedure for NC.
I prefer the law suit since it is very high chance to help me get the GC, but my wife worry about that may screw our GC application totally.
Any suggestions? Please advice.
