Hi, guys! I received a letter from the USCIS local office, does anyone know FOR SURE what it means. the letter says:
This aplication for adjustment of status to that of a permanent resident filed by the above name has been granted.
If you are traveling or ned evidence of your alien registration, you may present this letter and your valid passport (time, place) to be stamped with evidence of your alien registration.
To avoid waiting in line, access infopass at www.uscis.gov for a specific appointment.
Note: Your alien Rgistration card (ARC) will be mailed to you within six or eight months.
if it is an approval notice of a green card, two things confused me: 1. i and my wife have the same file number "A 98 XXX XXX", 2.ARC (=green card) needs to be made for 6-8 months?
