My renew of EAD card application was filed on May 22. My hubby filed the renew application for me. He made a mistake on the A number. Luckily, the USCIS center corrent the mistake and request for more evident on this case. They received my response for more evidence in July 19. I have been visit the local office, send email, fax, call the 1 800 number of USCIS during this period. Finally, my case was approved with the help of the officer who read my email.

Lesson from my case:

1. Be very careful on filling out all forms from USCIS. Never never make mistakes, it is really costy!
2. Even one family member is responsible for filling out forms, the other one should not be too lazy. The laziness is costy!
3. Local office of USCIS is worth to go. If you have time, visit it once a week. At least you can get information.
4. Send emails, send letters, send fax, call USCIS. At least one of these channels will response, and it is very helpful.

PS: the email and fax for each center is different. Please go to your local office and request for it. The database of the local office is different from the on line database that we can access.

Conclusion: local office is worth going. They can give you some help even they can't work on your case directly.
