I did not get response from xiaobaitu this afternoon and mytwocents only response very briefly. I still have some questions,so I am posting here again and please let me know what your thought.
I saw the recent posts regarding misdemeanor these days. I have a question regarding this issue and I hope that you can help me out. I got a ticket a couple years before because when I left a parking lot, I accidently scratched a car which parked besides my car. It was a minor one, because I just started driving, did not have a lot of experience and I did not realized it. So I left a scene without giving my insurance information. The police came to my place later and gave me a ticket and asked me to go to court. I went to court, explained what happened to the judge. I was convicted for 'hit and run' and got 6 months probation and $150 fine. My insurance company took care of the lost the the other party
When I filled out the I485 form. I did not put 'yes' to the misdemeanor because I thought it was a traffic violation and I was not arrested. But after I saw people's post, I just wonder whether I should put 'yes' on that catergory. By the way, I have got the "RFE' for my I-485 case recently. Does that mean that FBI has finished my name check? Should I still notify USCIS about this? Please let me know. Thanks a lot.
Mytwocents ask me to take a look of orginigal charge. I did take a look. The final charge is Failure to Perform Duties of Driver. I just like to know if I have already got 485RFE whether it means the name check is cleared. If it is cleared, I still report it. Would it make issue more complicated. If I do need to report this. How should I explain to USCIS the reason that I did not report it last year when I filed the case. Please let me know. Thanks a lot.
