My parents finally got their b-2 visa. They got rejection 2 or 3 years ago. I recently got my citizenship. I'd like to apply green card for them, immediately after they come here. Their b-2 visa is N times come/go in one year. My father plans to return China after 3 months to take care of some family matters.

I heard 1.5 years for parents to get green card? Is that true?

I suppose, if we do 130 and 485 together, they can apply 'Hui Xiang Zheng' during regular I485 process. So even if their green card process is pending, they are safe to come and go, NOT using B-2 visa.

Also, if 1.5 years is the time, do they need to extend b-2 visa. The visa officer warned them not to extend b-2 this time. It was one of the reasons why they did not get b-2 visa 3 years ago.

Xiao Bai Tu: do you have complete information to share on how to do that? My hu*****and did national interest waiver all by himself for green card. I did N400 for our citizenships. I am not sure I need to hire a lawyer for that buy my parents are old and desperate.

Thanks.

Please advise! Thanks
