Xiaobaitu, I have the following questions for you. :)
1. My current H-1B will be expired on 12/31/2006. Can I file H-1B renewal and file EAD (based on I-485) at the same time?
2. If my H-1B renewal is filed on Oct. 10, 2006 and gets approved on 02/01/2007, but I get my EAD approved on Dec. 20, 2006, which status am I between 01/01/2007 and 01/31/2007? Am I still H-1B and can legally work during the above period, since I don't want to use EAD to make my status become 'AOS'? I will not become 'AOS' automatically, just because I'm holding an EAD during that H-1B renewal pending period. Is it correct?
