小弟孩子在上海签H4，居然说材料不齐，说缺少孩子自己的H4 application... 和H1一起的H4 application approval notice不是给入美国国境后的外国人递的么？小弟另一孩子就有类似文件。从来没有到过美国的H4申请人一定要申请人自己的H4 -- 797 approval notice???

At the time of his interview, ... only presented the faxed copy of his father’s H-1 petition. He may return to the Consular Section at any time with the original H-4 application in his own name.
Until we have the necessary information from the applicant, we cannot determine whether we will be able to issue a visa to the applicant. This was explained to the applicant orally and in writing.
