My hu*****and and I are concerning about my pending I-485. My situations are as follows:
After we married at the beginning of 2005, my hu*****and sent his I-140(EB-1a)application,which was approved in 2005. After that, we sent our I-485s in July 2005. Since then, my hu*****and get 2X finger printed and finally got his green card in Aug 2006.
However, my I-485 (based on my hu*****and's EB-1a) is still pending. In July 2006, the CS transferred my case to local office in Miami, FL to schedule an interview for me (I feel supprised about this interview and the location). After I got the notice, I called CS immediately and told CS that they transferrd my case to the WRONG local office (becasue during my last year in School in 2005, I used this address for my AP and EAD.But my mailing address on I-485 is with my hu*****and and also my current address. After my graduation at the end of 2005, I moved back home and lived with my hu*****and). They said they would re-transfer my case to the correct local office for interview.
One month later, in August, 2006,I went to my current local office in person (through Infopass appointment) and double checked/confirmed that this lcoal office got my case. Furthermore, this information officer informed me that my NAME CHECK HAS BEEN CLEARED.She told me that if I passed the interview, PROBABLY I can get stamped right away. But after that, I did not heard anything from my local office. It almost 3 months passed.
My questions are:
-Is it normal for INS to require an spouse of EB-1a to interview?
-How long do you think they will schedule an interview with me?
-Normally, any tips/suggestions/comments on this interview?
-SHALL I GO TO LOCAL OFFICE AGAIN FOR THIS INTERVIEW SCHEDULE ISSIE? HELPFUL? OR NOT?
-Physically, what kind of documents are necessary / helpful for this interviw?
