I am currrently in AOS status with AP and have to go to mexico for business trip. My I-94 expiration date is in 2008 but was issued together with my previously approved H-1B.

Since i am using EAD working now and no longer in H-1B status. I am wodering how i can come back from Mexico to U.S., showing the I-94 or AP in the customs? Also, do i have to turn in I-94 when i leave to Mexico by air?
