Urgent! Xiaobaitu H1 -> H4 JIIII2006-12-29 22:02:48

Both my wife and I are currently I-485 pending. Now my wife need to change her job. She is currently with her H1, and her old job will end at the end of this year. She may receive other offers in January. So there will be several weeks gap in between.

If she want to keep her H1, does she need to transfer to H4 right now before she lose her old H1 at the end of the year, and then transfer back to H1 when she get another job?

If she does not apply for H4, then she will depend on her pending I-485. Does it mean she can not go back to H1 anymore?
