upset!-anyone has any idea how long will they get the EAD throug bellxing2007-01-29 21:35:48

just came back from local USCIS and tried to renew my EAD and they told me that i have to do EAD through chicago office NOW. local office will not take care of this any more.... and my EAD expired tomorrow. gee.. i was so freaky out today! cos my name check has been pending since Feb. 2005. it is my 3rd time to renew the EAD in different ideas from USCIS

1st one: i will have to do EAD through mail to local office

2nd one: when i maile dto them and they mailed back to me told me to come over in person and can get the card on the sight

today: the 3rd one, i will have to MAIL to chicago

i just dont understand why they only give 1yr for the EAD since now the name check or proccess time will be just soooooo long.. why they can not just put these documents for around 2 or 3 yrs

The procedure has changed,all EAD based on marriage
