H4 to F1 in usa,can I use 5000 treaty2004-02-26 15:01:48

I got H4 visa to come to usa in 2002, then changed to F1 in 2003, and my H1 was just approved in this Feb. When I prepare 2003 tax return, can I use student $5000 treaty? thank you for your help!
