RFE received date: 12/4/2006
Info Pass date: 2/5/2007 (just passed 60 days after NSC receipt of my RFE). Was told NSC reviewed my case on 12/6/2006, but still pending now. Didn't tell me if my NC is cleared.
Contact my lawyer on 2/6/2007 and was told that I was stuck in NC.
Sent an email to the congressman on 2/7/2007 for checking the status of my I-485 at NSC. Received an email from the congressman on 2/9/2007, saying "NSC has assigned an officer on 2/7/2007 to review the case, and check back in 30 days".
Received emails from NSC that my I-485 was approved on 2/27/2007.
Received the card on 3/8/2007.
I think contacting either congressman, senator, or/and Fist Lady will help to expedite the process if your case has been pending for a long time. Even it wouldn't help sometimes, it at least can let the lawyer makers hear our voice about the inefficiency of USCIS.
