Thanks a lot for your help. I like your opinion on my hu*****and's application.

Here is his info:
Ph.D. in electrical engineering (a two-tier US univ.),
Master in optical instrument (China),
Bachelor in optical instrument (China)

His opt expires on 5/11/2007. His H-4 application has been filed last week. He got an offer from a new start company (founded on 3/1/2007). The company has only one person, will have 2 after hiring my hu*****and. The owner said he has sold $75k in the first 20 days (selling ellipsometer, an optical instrument which my hu*****and had used at least 3 years during his Ph.D research work). The job title is Application engineering, duties include R&D for the prototype optical instrument, data processing algorithm, hard and software development, also includes custom support, sample testing, training, on-site training and demonstration. Wage is 55k, plus insurance...401k.

1. Is this wage too low for a successful H1B application?
2. Which one is better to his application, 65k normal cap or the high degree 20k cap?
3. Is the premium application necessary? or regular one is fine?

Thanks for your time and looking forward to your answer
