EB1a I410 PD Aug 29, 2006, unfortunately sent to NSC
waited and waited...
Feb, 2007, planned to use premium process, but lawyer recommended against using PP, pursuaded me wait more days.
May 16, 2007, suddenly received approval without any RFE.
My case is not strong:
Publication: in pharmaceutics, nearly 15-16 papers ( ~ 50% Chinese journals, highest impact factor 3.5 ).symposium abstacts about 10.
Citations: 98 including any Chinese citations. One paper was named top 25 hottest downloaded paper in summer quarter.
Reviewing experience: N/A (that was my concern)
Patents : 2
Media influence: Googling myself, found 10 pages of record mentioning my name related to my research; a couple newspapers mentioning my project but not my name.
Awards: several weak Chinese awards and a symposium postdoc/student award
Recommendation letters: 5 independent letters. None from my current/previous boss, 4 are University profs (1 assist, 3 full profs), 1 in FDA. (3 Chinese origin, 2 americans)
Overall impression: I did not expect to get approved from NSC, at most, I expected to receive RFE.I certainly believe my lawyer has exceptional ability in packaging her clients. She wrote all recommendation letters for me and hence, this Eb1a in NSC and another NIW in TSC got approved rightaway. I also feel that the company may have some connection or at least good influence in CIS. Or, maybe I am very lucky that a very nice reviewer approved my case after rejecting a few poorly prepared cases.
This company is Klasko in NY. They charge more than regular. But this lady is efficient and now proved to be effective, at least in my case.
