My wife is a nurse and she filed her I-140 and I-485 as category "Schedule A"last year and got her GC last July. Also she filed I-485 for me as a derivative adjustment at the same time . Right now I am stuck on name checking ..
I got my own Labor Certificate in November 2005 and didn't file my I-140 .
My question is that: Do I have a visa number reserved when I turned in my I-485?
There is no visa numbers available in "Schedule A" now. Do I still have a visa number if my name checking goes through finally?
Also, is there any benefit if I file my own I-140 and I-485? Can I use my old 485 if I file my own I-140 or just can file only one I-485?
