Hi, Guys waiting the results of VSC-TSC, Please fax your case inquiry to TSC 214-962-1450.

Texas Service Center

INQUIRY PROCEDURE

PLEASE!!! Do NOT send an inquiry until the normal processing time for the petition has passed UNLESS you are informing USCIS of an address change.

· The TSC fax number for NAFSA inquiries is 214-962-1450. Please read the procedures noted below for how the fax inquiry system should be utilized.

· NAFSA members should not contact the TSC directly by phone, but should use the procedures noted below. TSC has confirmed that phone numbers are to be used only by CIPP-RRs in order to maintain the integrity of the liaison system, and non-CIPP-RR phone inquiries will be redirected to contact the CIPP-RR.

1 Before sending an inquiry directly to the TSC, DSOs and Scholar Advisors should check the status of the case on-line using the USCIS website (https://egov.immigration.gov/graphics/cris/jsps/caseStat.jsp) to ensure that the information needed is not already noted on-line.

2 DSOs and Scholar Advisors should then check the normal processing dates for the TSC. Routine inquiries should not be sent for cases that have not exceeded BOTH the normal processing times listed on the receipt notice and posted on-line. The on-line normal processing dates can be found at https://egov.immigration.gov/graphics/cris/jsps/index.jsp#.

3 Whenever possible, DSOs and Scholar Advisors should utilize the National Customer Service Center (Phone: 800-375-5283) to resolve issues. You can find more information about the NCSC at http://uscis.gov/graphics/services/ncsc.htm. Note: Please document the effectiveness of the 800 number in problem resolutions and provide CIPP-RRs with that information so that we can offer CIS our feedback on the usefulness of this number.

4 After following steps 1, 2, and 3, an inquiry should be sent to the TSC using the NAFSA inquiry form (http://www.region7.nafsa.org/%7Ecipprr.htm) and the new fax number, 214-962-1450. Be sure to include a receipt number, beneficiary’s name and the DSO’s or Scholar Advisor’s fax number for response. It is also helpful to provide DOB, type of form/case and beneficiary’s correct mailing address. Be succinct with the explanation of the problem.

5 If you do not receive any response from the TSC within 21 days, please contact your CIPP-RR. The most effective way to receive a CIPP-RR response is to format your inquiry in this manner:
1 SRC #
2 Last name, first name of applicant
3 Date of birth
4 Country of birth and citizenship
5 Brief explanation of the problem
6 Name and contact information for DSO

NOTE: For I-765s beyond a 90-day processing time, check to see if your USCIS District Office will issue interim EADs.

For I-765 and I-539 cases, use the fax inquiry form. Include your name, your institution’s name, telephone number and fax number on the form.
? The TSC NAFSA Inquiry form on the Region VII website is interactive.

Place the cursor in a box, then tab to the next box or place the cursor where you need it.
? In the “problem deion" field, there are approximately five lines for comments.

For those cases that do not have a fax inquiry form, please include the following information on your institution's fax cover sheet or letterhead:
? Your name, telephone number and fax number
? Case Type (i.e. I-129, I-140, I-485)
? Receipt number (if available)
? Petitioner name
? Beneficiary Name and Date of Birth
? Brief synopsis of problem

INQUIRY PROCEDURE:

(1) Fax inquiry form to TSC at 214-962-1450.

FAX ONE PAGE ONLY. DO NOT FAX ADDITIONAL PAGES. If INS requires additional information, they will communicate with the appropriate school official and make that request.

ON ALL FAX INQUIRIES PLEASE INCLUDE THE VALID MAILING ADDRESS TO WHICH CORRESPONDENCE FROM INS PERTAINING TO THE CASE SHOULD BE MAILED.

One of the biggest problems we are experiencing is undeliverable mail. By always including the correct mailing address for the particular petition when inquiring, you will insure that USCIS has the current address. Texas Service Center does not object to the use of the International Office's mailing address as the "in care of" address for I-765 and I-539 forms.

(2) Wait 21 business days for a response or result (such as EAD, receipt notice, etc.).

(3) If no response or result from INS after 21 business days, e-mail your CIPP-RR with all the details from your fax inquiry as well as the date you faxed the inquiry.

The CIPP-RR will then e-mail the Texas Service Center concerning your case, as long as the inquiry demonstrates merit for such intervention.

The inquiry fax number is ONLY for use by school officials. Students and scholars are NOT to use this fax number.

Your CIPP-RRs,

Ana Sippin(FL, MS, TN, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands)

Steve Springer (AL, GA, NC, SC)

TIPS:

? Preferably TYPE information on form.

? Fax only the one-page inquiry form. If TSC needs other documentation, they will ask you.
