I am preparing for the empolyment verification letter (I am a postdoctoral at Univerisity). Our univeristy payroll system can provide employment letter online for download. So I download from the website and it shows university name, my name and position, begin/end date of my hiring status, and my salary. There is no signature of human resource personnel and no mention that this letter should go where. Is that OK for I485 filing? The other problem is that this letter shows that my position will end in 2008 (3 year of H1B) and obviously it is a non-permanent job (postdoctoral fellow), does that affect final approval? Or I have to ask HR person to write again and avoid the start/end date of my position??? Thank you very much.
