I was told in many different ways regarding multiple I-140s and I-485s. Some laywers say that I-485 will be automatically linked to the earliest approved I-140. Others say you need to file different I-485 for different I-140. Still others say you can re-link your I-485. Can anybody tell me which one is correct?
My situation is: I have NIW (approved) and EB1A (currently RFE). I have one pending I-485 based on EB1A. So I am kind of confusing what I should do next. Should I file another I-485 based on NIW next month (which definitely waste my time and money)? Re-link? Or simply wait?
