Many witnessed recent chaos in the forum. Here are my few words.

I have the same goal as you guys, that is to get your GC as soon as possible. However, I found lot of selfish people here.

Let's discuss VB revision. In fact, there were many VB number retrograde backlog past years. We are already familiar with this. I am also the victim. There are tones of people waited for years to get visa number available. It is not abnormal. So is this time. The only difference is "available" turning into "unavailable" in the same month this time. But the nature is the same. If visa number unavailable is normal, why so many people frustrated? Money and efforts they paid, or probably the dream shred.

I would say your efforts won't be waste, because you will have your turn, sooner or later. Your efforts will be paid. Dream, you can have your new dream, and your new dream will become true. Moneywise, I know you paid tones of money tried to "catch the last bus" before the hike of application fee. I am really sorry for that, because these were hard-earn money. But money will come back, won't it?

I do believe it is not fair to all the applicants, but I don't really sympathy for everyone, especially those tried to concurrently file I-140/I485. I would say to them "nice try, but sorry, not your turn yet, there are still tones of people waiting, you have no regret"

Now, when chaos happens, what should we do? You can see our typical Chinese ways: crying for protesting, shouting to write letter to congressmen, roaring blindly to fight our right, or even losing the hope of life.

Let me talk about "write to congressmen" or "fight our right". It is so naive to have this way only in your mind. Are the congressmen the first and only people you think to get help from? The question is why they need to help you. When these congressmen had their selection, did you participate their fundraiser? How much did you devoted? When they give their policy in your city hall, were you there to support them? Now is the presidential election, how much did you donated to any of the candidates? I bet none of you did, so why they help you? Just because you live in their districts? But do you also know they know after getting your GC and citizwnship, you will move to other districts?

Last year, hundred of thousands immigrants (legal and illegal) went to streets to fight for the right to stay here, where were you? What contribution did you made try to have immigration law reformed? You should fight for your right before your right is hurt, rather than after. It is too later, because your right is hurt.

After thinking about all these questions, you also need to think what we should do. Think about it. If you want to have your voice be heard, do your part in your communities, your children schools, your work places, your church. You should seek help from our rights groups, rather than just congressmen who have absolutely no obligation to help you. There are many Asian-American groups here, join them, donate, participate, and make groups stronger. Next time if similar chaos happens again, your voice will be heard! 80-20 is an group you may think about to join (I'm not the member yet, but I am considering to join it because recently it fights for Asian right a lot).

For those frustrated people, I would say "be strong"; it happened before, it happens now,and it will happen again. You are neither the first one, nor the last one, just like me that I was neither the first one, nor the last one.
