My employer started my green card application process.

Today, I was informed that my labor certificate was approved and I can prepare docs for I-140.

I am living in Canada with a expired TN1 visa. I also have a US Social Security Number.

I am wondering if I need to live in the States during the processing of my I-140? Do I need to live in the States during the processing of my I-485?
