Hi,

I have two questions about parents' visiting visa application. Please provide your thoughts and experience.

I am waiting for adjiust of status, filed 485 1.5 years ago. My parents was rejected a visa three years ago, never tried again since then. Both me my sister are here, with no other children in my familly. My parents both retired but my dad found a part-time job as a consultant in a private company. They have a house and some savings.

My questions are:

1. Should my dad say retired on DS-156? If yes, Does his part-time job helps on his case?
2. If I don't have any special reason, such as wedding, graduation, etc, what reason should I write down for inviting them visiting me? Would something like" just want parents visit me , stay with me, and help me when my back problem getting severe" works? Foret to mention, I have Chronical Disc hernation on lower back, not bad now, buy was very bad two years ago.

3. Their ex-employer don't release title of their new house to them yet. They can only give them copy of it and a letter of verification. Would it be enough for this purpose?

4. Their case was denied three years ago, partly because I change from B1 to F1 status without returnning to China 8 years ago. But since then, I got H1b, and very close to get GC, and I had been back home 1.5 years ago. How's their chance this time and should I do anything to help?

Many thanks to any reply!

A anxious son waiting to see his parents
