Starting from Oct. 2005, I hired an attorney to help me with both my H1B and EB2 application. I and my hu*****and just filed our I-485 the past Monday. Up till now, we have spent $10,000 on this. For example, simply for the I-485 application this time, my attorney charged me the following for Attorney fees ($1750):
1) Adjustment of status for beneficiary of I-140 immigration petition (1st installment) - $500
2) Adjustment of status for beneficiary of I-140 immigration petition (2nd installment due 90 days after filing) - $500
3) Adjustment of status for family member (1st installment), - $375; 2nd installment, -$375
USCIS filling fees:
I-485 filling fee: $325 X 2
Biometrics: $70 X 2
I-131 filling fee: $170 X 2
I-765 filling fee: $180 X2
Total filling fees are $1490.
What is the case for your attorney's legal fees? Can anybody share yours with us?
Maybe next week I need to ask the attorney office to give me a detailed list of the money I have ever paid.
