If I485 is denied, can I go back to NIW field and work again? 10d2007-07-31 04:03:13

I'm planning to change job which is not exactly in the same field with the one used in NIW application,I was told if my I485 is denied for this reason, I may go back to work in previous NIW field, and the petition is effective again. Is it true?
Any expert please help. Thanks a lot.
