I-485 approved!! (TSC NIW) marchrain2007-08-09 15:34:13

Both my wife and my 485 were approved yesterday. I'd like to share our info.

Texas Service Center, NIW-based.

140 Receipt Date: 09/11//2005
140 Approved Date: 09/20/2005
485 Receipt Date: 09/22/2005
1st FP: 11/2005
2nd FP 05/2007
140 LUD 07/22/2007
485 LUD 07/31/2007
485 approved on 08/08/2007

Here are some useful information based on our experience:
1. About NC: I don't think NC is related to the complexity or length of your name. I have a short and common name, but my wife has a long name. Our NC seems cleared very fast.
2. About 485 LUD: If you get 485 LUD recently, you will have very big chance to get GC approved with 2-3 weeks after LUD. Please also check if you get LUD for 140. If yes, I will say your chance will be much much bigger.
3. I strongly suggest using POJ to check and even expedite your case processing. This is especially useful for people whose NC are already cleared. We called TSC on 08/07/2007 and was told our cases are cleared, but no visa number and VO assigned. Then our cases were approved next day on 08/08/2007. It seems CIS still have enough Visa Numbers available. As long as your NC are cleared, you need push them to pick up your case.
