My wife and me just came back from our fingerprinting appointment. Although our appointment is on next Wednesday, the El Paso Application Support Center let us in, after I explained that I will be very busy during next Wednesday. As stated by some of your postings, they are reasonable and flexible. We filled out a fingerprint worksheet and it caught us by surprise that it asked for MOTHER's and FATHER's first name, in addition to the normal stuff (SSN, residential address, phone number, A#, receipt # , the latter two can be found on the appointment notice). Make sure you know that or write that down. Nobody asked for my father's first name before, and I am not good at pingying. I had to walk out (no celluar phone allowed inside) and called my friend to confirm it for me. Anyway, they will do the fingerprinting on both hands (first) and ten fingers (second, one by one), and lastly take a picutre of you. The technician will walk you through it. You also need to bring the original fingerprint notice (there is a barcode on there, I saw the technician scanning it) and your passport or other forms of government-issued ID (e.g., driving license, state ID) with you.

We also received email notices that our 131 application for USCIS travel documents have been approved and the approval notices came out on Sep 18th.
