Finally, truly finally, my turn!
Here’s my sadly long history to share with you...
10/1/2001 H-1B
6/30/2002, EB2 LCA (RIR) submitted, Maryland
…. Nothing for 2003
…..Nothing for 2004
…..and yet Nothing for 2005, except BEC mistakenly closed my case and my
lawyer had it opened. What a joke!
8/1/2006, LCA approved from BEC (49 months for LCA, isn’t it a BIG joke?)
8/30/2006, 485 and 140 received at NSC
3/20/2007, 140 still pending, applied premium processing. Feeling nervous.
4/20/2007, 140 approved after RFE
4/30/2007, went to InfoPass, stuck in name check (you can imagine how I felt)
7/28/2007, went to InfoPass again, still stuck in name check (can it be
worse?)
8/5/2007, 485 RFE for skin test. LUD for RFE receival.
8/31/2007, LUD on 485. Starting to speculate, checking email every day, and
losing hope everyday. Do not bother InfoPass anymore

10/10/2007, starting writing letter to First Lady
10/17/2007, magic email received. NOTICE MAIILED WELCOMING THE NEW PERMANET
RESIDENT.
It has been an extremely depressing 5 years for me, and probably nobody can
really comfort me. Now finally it's coming to an end! I’m not pleased, not
even relieved, because I’m used to this mental burden. It has consumed too
much my life.
Good luck to everyone, my heart is with you!
Final note, if you don’t think green card is worth that much effort and
stress, just enjoy the time here, and happily go back to our China! I can
not stop because I have a family here and have a mortgage to pay.
All roads lead to Rome, feeling happy counts all, not the plastic card!
