I'm wondering if I need to extend my H-4 status. Here is my current status. I have an I-485 Adjustment to Permanent Resident Application based on my father's employment pending. I also have an approved AP and work authorization. I left the US a month ago to travel abroad; therefore, my H-4 status was terminated when I re-entered the US using my AP. I plan to travel abroad using my AP again in January 2008. Do I need to extend my H-4 status, and what are pros and cons of extending my H-4 status?

I think you are still in H-4 although you have used AP
